The short version: I am currently in the process of updating toys with paper straws to remove them completely from my store, so any toy using them as a part will show out of stock. If there is a toy you are interested in buying that features these, please let me know by either sending me a message, or by putting yourself on the Wait List for that item. That way I know which ones to prioritize remaking.

You may have seen in the news recently that paper straws were tested and found to contain some chemicals, in particular PFAS.
There are a lot of questions regarding this study (and some even asked by the testers):
1) Are these being transferred to a person while drinking?
2) Are the chemicals being added in the manufacturing process, or are they being absorbed through the plant while it is growing?
3) Are they safe for parrots to chew if they aren't wet?
I do not have the answers to these questions. I do know that it's personally not worth the risk for me to continue to make toys with them at this time.
