Teddy Balsa

A cute little teddy bear for your bird!

"Teddy" is made up of a 2 inch tall and 3/4 inch thick handcut balsa, and is holding onto a 1/8" thick hardwood heart on both sides! Strung with paper rope

Measures about 2" x 1.5" overall. Heart colors will be random.

All of my items are handmade by me in my home unless otherwise stated. My office is on a separate floor of my house that is completely free of birds. Nothing I sell has been in contact with any of my personal companion animals.

Items are dyed with Vitacritter, a bird and small animal safe dye, except for light blue, brown, and black items that are dyed with Wilton's or Americolor gel food coloring. I do not use anything that is painted, has varnish, or is chemically treated. Metals are all nickel plated or stainless steel and I will always specify which is being used.

Since I have lost my own bird to a devastating toy accident, I try to be very diligent in all aspects of toy making, from the materials used to the way they are used. That being said, every bird plays different, and it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that the things you give to your bird are safe. I am always happy to customize toys! Most can be strung on different materials, dyed or undyed, etc.
